ELECTROCARDIOGRAM

Advanced ECG for the study of HRV and BP calculation.

Core-Safe One

The Core-Safe One includes four sensors; an ECG, a triaxial accelerometer and two microphones, which are combined to provide a meticulous analysis of the blood pressure and the neuro autonomic state (NAS). The different advanced signal processing techniques applied to the sensors, allow to monitor HRV parameters and blood pressure (BP) values. The main module, located in the upper part of the thorax, left of the sternum, intended to be used at home to monitor the cardiorespiratory system.

Pulse Transit Time Calculation

By calculating the time delay between the electrocardiographic signal and the heart sounds, the Pulse Transit Time (PTT), i.e. the time it takes for a pulse wave to travel between two arterial points, can be estimated. There is a relationship between PTT and BP that allows diastolic and systolic values to be obtained continuously and reduces the inconvenience of ambulatory monitoring.

NAS
Neuro Autonomic State Index

By extracting the Heart Rate (HR) and the temporal and frequency features of the Heart Rate Variability (HRV), such as the RMSSD, PNN50 and the ratio between LF and HF, an Adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) is developed. This model computes the NAS index, allowing the monitoring of the sympathetic-parasympathetic balance of the autonomic nervous system, informing about the probability of response to a noxious stimuli.
